"Sick, sick, sick..."
Foley, a Republican served his district in Florida for six terms, abruptly resigned from Congress on Friday, apologizing "for letting down my family and the people of Florida I have had the privilege to represent."
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Rep. Mark Foley "was not honest about his conduct," according to the chairman of the House Page Board, referring to e-mail exchanges between the former congressman and a teenage male page who has called the correspondences "sick, sick, sick."
After the e-mails were publicized, ABC News released text messages allegedly sent by the congressman to other teenage male pages.
In them, Foley allegedly said he wanted to take the teen's clothes off, and in another he allegedly asked a page if he made him "a little horny," ABC News reported, saying other exchanges were too graphic to make public.

Once again I am going to go on the record with my belief that the more sexually repressed a person is the freakier they act it out. This is one sick, sick, sick man. He has resigned the house, probably been thrown out of his home, and will likely go to prison as well. Hooray!
When did Mark Foley get charged with a crime? if he did commit a crime then he should go to jail.
ReplyDeleteIf he does get charged his Lawyer will get a change of venue and get a liberal Judge and a liberal jury to try him, and we know how the liberals hand out justice to child molestors do we not, but this man has not molosted a child that we know of, if he did then it will come out in the wash, and then he will get a slap on the hands as usual by a liberal Judge and jury if it goes to trial.
Olerockytop, you sound more concerned about his legal travails than his disgusting behavior...or is it your love of Republicans that is blinding you from what he did?
ReplyDeleteNo where in my statement did I say I condoned what the man done what I said if the man had commited a crime them he should be punished, not in those exact words.
ReplyDeleteYou Liberals are always throwing the constution out especially when it comes to equal protection under the law for the terriost, does this man not deserve the same protection regardless of the crime.
We know he did not commit a crime under the state laws and that is why the Feds are involved to see if he violated any Federal laws.
In the great majority of states, the age of consent for all sexua1 activity, including Sodomy, is 16 (with a graded, or stepped age of consent for near-peers, down to 12, in a number of states). It is 15 in Connecticut and Co1orado. For all practica1 purposes, it is 14 in Hawaii. It is 13 in New Mexico. Even though we feel as individuals as to what this man has done is disgusting I say we need to look at our state laws and bring them in line with the Federal Laws especially in New Mexico where we have this wonderful caring person by the name of Bill richardson.
