House Passes Detainee Bill

The do-nothing House of Representatives, sensing that they are largely NOT going to be asked back to the dance in November, decided to actually pass some legislation. That is where the good news ends. What they have decided to pass is a bill defining the boundaries of detainee treatment, which excludes them access to the courts to challenge their imprisonment at Gitmo and other places of detention.

  1. This legislation is horrible--it won't work to prevent terrorism and it endangers our troops.

This is a dark day in our history.

  2. It was also a dark day in our history when LBJ esclated the Viet Nam war based on lies and took the lives of over 58,000 American soliders, do we forget that war? I guess we do when it is a Liberal war.
