Living in Houston I was able to see every day on the local news station and see all those former enron employees carrying their boxes from their offices and hear them talking about the hundreds of thousands of dollars they lost. What really troubles me most, as a Christian, is the fact that nobody has acknowleged that he committed those reprehensible acts. They talk about all he gave and what a nice man he was. Even some noted pastors here in town talk about "mistakes". But scripture teaches that we must aadmit wrongdoing to receive forgiveness. Nobody has the backbone to say that the money was stolen from these people and that many youngsters lost their college funds because of him.. He was an evil despicable man and should not, even in death, be held up as a shining example or role model..
